Pastor Scott Perry
Pastor Scott has served as both a pastor and teacher in the Bay Area for 24 years now after graduating from Concordia Seminary-St. Louis in 2001. Before that, he served as a volunteer missionary/teacher with the church in Taiwan for nearly three years. Before that, he graduated from Bethany Lutheran College and Mankato State University with a degree in English literature and writing in 1991.
He was born and raised in Anoka, Minnesota. He met Thao at a church conference in St. Louis, and they were married in 1998. Thao has worked in the field of organic chemistry for 27 years and is the world's best cook. They have two grown sons, Andrew, who lives in Portland, and Justin, who recently moved back home after graduating from UC-Riverside with a degree in organic chemistry. Pastor Scott is honored to serve among God's people at Bethany, initially for a two-month period while he completes his training to be an intentional interim pastor.
